Trolls

Wikipedia defines an Internet troll as slang for “a person who starts flame wars or intentionally upsets people on the Internet by posting inflammatory and digressive, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community.”...

Welcome, and thanks for visiting. The site is about writing, which I most often take to be a technology for "translating" sound to surface, ephemeral event to durable text, embodied to disembodied authority. I know there's a before, after, and "in addition to" as well: there are amazing ancient writing systems, or lines made by electrocardiographs or weather forecasting instruments that count as writing for me as well. And there's the threat of a deference to robotic readers undermining human language as such. I'm optimistic, however.
