Still Life with Woodpecker

Woodpecker is the logo image for Roaming CIC (Community Interest Company) …it just has the sort of shape, colour, and personality to be our logo, and it was made collectively at Roaming.  We hadn’t actually thought of Tom Robbin’s novel, Still Life with Woodpecker at all. But in the novel, Woodpecker is a dashing, extremely resourceful and highly articulate outlaw — he’s good with explosives as well as metaphors and insights: “Humanity has advanced, when it has advanced, not because it has been sober, responsible and cautious, but because it has been playful, rebellious, and immature.”
