I just uploaded a conference paper called “Computing the Past” (under Writing>Papers). It describes Steven Poliakoff’s TV drama, Shooting the Past, as a conflict between two different ways of valuing photographic archives: as a massive potential expansion of human memory, versus a store of objects with specific monetary values.
